  Broyles Chapel MBC Honors Rev. Ural Massey at Retirement Service     Broyles Chapel Missionary Baptist Church honored Rev. Ural Massey at a retirement service on Sunday, February 23, 2014. The services were held at Riverside Baptist Church in order to accommodate the anticipated large crowd, which showed up as expected. The house was packed!   What a blessing this service was. Pastor Massey has been God's faithful servant at Broyles Chapel for 34 and 1/2 years! He has helped to unify the town of Riverside -- and beyond!   Be Thankful Challenge 2013 Day 2     I live in a VERY small town. So a few weeks ago when Broyles Chapel sent over word to the ladies at Riverside Baptist Church that they were having a community women's conference, several of us put it on our calendar and today we attended.   I can't begin to tell you how wonderful it was. The music was fantastic, the message was just what I needed to hear, and the men served the women supper after the conference!   One (The Pastor of Living Word Holiness Church in Riverside) was even man enough to wear an apron!      So on this 2nd day of November, I am thankful to be a part of the family of God and to live in a community where the churches love to worship and serve together.    I am especially thankful for Broyles Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, ... 11/02/2013

Sweetly Broken   I shot this photo behind the Riverside United Methodist Church. They have a little prayer garden and a gazebo that overlooks the cemetery. I love the bridges and statues. It's quiet and comforting. The day that I shot this photo, I just happened to be there at the right time that the shadow of one of the crosses pointed directly to the angel statue. I have since tried to recapture the shot. You know... shoot it a little better. But every time that I visit.... the shadow is... well.... just a shadow! So far, this was my one and only chance. The photo reminds me of the a Jeremy Riddle song called Sweetly Broken. This following video is a cover of it, but is very powerful. Its hard to watch and makes me cry.
