I was made aware of a community organization that feeds 1200 people on Christmas Eve through the Lewisville Council of PTAs. The Leann Van Zandt Community Center in one of the poorest areas of Ft. Worth just lost their sponsor for their Christmas event.  On Christmas Day from 11am-1pm, they open the gym and feed about 1200 people. Once the families are done with their meal, they take there child to Santa Land to receive a free toy from Santa and Mrs. Claus. When they finish with Santa Land, all families receive a free bag of groceries. All these amazing things are possible each year because of the support of our community and donations.
