Katy ISD New Sports Stadium Breaks Ground April 2016 Katy ISD second sports stadium is set to break ground during April 2016. This stadium will be built directly across the street from the existing Rhodes stadium. The planned stadium will cost an estimated $58 million and was the largest segment of the $748 Million bond issue approved by area voters during late 2014. The whole stadium issue is still controversial due to it’s huge cost. Katy ISD has 7 High Schools and all use the one existing stadium. Scheduling is a huge mess and a problem. A second stadium is definitely in need by the school district. The student population is in excess of 70,000 students and staff professional exceed 9,000. Reminder: Texas Hunting and Fishing Licenses Expire August 31, 2015  Last month I received a call on a Saturday morning from a guy who needed assistance with obtaining a fishing license in Texas. I tried to help but the best I could do is to tell him to do a Google search for Texas fishing licenses. He said he already tried this and my information showed up on the search? HUH... I have no idea how this happened but I thought it was a good idea for me to obtain some basic data in case this happens again. I do not hunt or fish. I have never had a license. However, I would like to learn to fish. .There is a huge number of people who hunt and or fish in Katy TX let alone in the whole state of Texas. NRG Center Houston TX.  Hosts Abilities Expo July 31-August 2, 2015   The Abilities Expo is being held today Friday July 31 Thru Sunday August 2, 2015 at NRG Center Hall E. The Expo has a clever name as it is geared for individuals who unfortunately have some type of disability. The mission of the Expo is to empower folks who have some type of handicap to overcome their disability and enjoy life to its fullest. The Expo starts each day at 11 AM and runs till 5 PM and Sunday it ends at 4 PM.
