Almost Wordless Sunday- Commemorative Air Force Open House   I posted two items one in detail and a reminder about the Commemorative Air Force Open House. The event continues today Sunday April 13, 2014. I attended yesterday and there was a large turnout of folks and many things to see, experience and take pictures. we even had a visit and speech from General Patton. I believe many of this nations politicians need to hear his speech to the crowd. Reminder Commemorative Air Force Open House April 12 and 13, 2014 West Houston Airport 18000 Groshke Road Houston TX 77084 This is a reminder as the West Houston Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) is holding an open house on both Saturday April 12 and Sunday April 13, 2014. I previously posted a full description of this event almost a month ago but I thought a reminder was in order as this is a great event to attend.   The doors will be open each day from 10AM until 4PM. My advice is to go early.   So many attractions to enjoy such as  a plane ride ( for a fee), view numerous aircraft and cars, take as many pictures as you want and appreciate aircraft from World War II, Korea and today both on the ground and in the air. Seller’s Huge Mistakes in Katy TX a few Years Ago   Bob Stewart of ActiveRain (AR) created a challenge for AR members to write and publish a blog about “Mistakes Sellers Make That Could Cost Them a Sale”. I realized this new challenge existed when I read Roy Kelly's timely and interesting post about this subject. No Label Brewery Open Friday's and Saturday's in Katy   Katy has its own brewery named No Label. This is not the first blog I have written about No Label. These days No Label is open on Friday evenings from 4PM until  7PM selling pints for $3 each and seasonal beers for $4. On Saturday, No Label opens at 12 Pm or noon and closes at 3 PM. Saturday is beer tasting and the cost is $5 per adult. Obviously No Label is a big hit with the local residents. No Label was started by a local family a few years ago. The Royo family are the owners and management of the brewery. Initially the tastings were only on one Saturday a month.   Several times in the past I tried to find where they were located and could never find the action. Mat Pilates Class Offered in Katy at VFW Park   Mat Pilates class is being offered at the VFW # 4 , VFW Park and Community Center in Katy. The classes are being held at 5PM to 6PM for a regular class and 6:15 PM until 7:05 for a new beginners class.The VFW Park and Community Center is located at 6202 George Bush Dr. Katy TX with phone number 281-391-4800. The VFW Park is part of the City of Katy facilities available to all residents. The cost is $40 per week for residents and $46 per month for nonresidents. West Houston Airport Spring 2013 Open House in Katy   West Houston Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) is holding an open house.The spring open house will be held on Saturday April 20 and Sunday April 21, 2013. The doors will be open each day from 10AM until 5PM. The West Houston Squadron is now named the Houston Wing.   Tour,view, take pictures and appreciate aircraft from World War II, Korea and today both on the ground and in the air. There will be over 20 aircraft including CAF’s B-17, P-51 Mustang, T-28 Trojan and a Yak 52. Several trainers, one aircraft from the CAR Tora Tora Tora Team and observation aircraft.     Some aircraft rides will be available for a fee.
