The Olympics are over today as iis this Challenge. I thought about this post and wrote it in my head but never took the time to just write it. I think I have to start with what I think constitutes the Olympian Spirit  and then cover how it applies to me and my life.  The research I did found a man named Pierre de Coubertin invented the modern Pentathlon and he intended the sport to be educational. Leap Year/ Leap Day Quick InformationAs we all know Leap Year occurs every 4 years where the month of February has an added day. Here are some quick Leap Year/Day tidbits and factoids. A normal solar year is 365 days, 48 minutes and 44 seconds or slightly longer than our 365 day. Leap day arises as the Gregorian calendar falls slightly short of a solar year. Ancient Romans used a 10 month calendar and winter had zero months. Around 713 BC a King realized this fact and added two months being January and February. Romans also thought any month with an odd number of days was auspicious and thus February ended up with 28 days. Some Priests added an extra month.
