Derby Dog Dash plus Horse Racing at Sam Houston Race Park Due to the overwhelming success and interest in Sam Houston Race Park Weiner Dog Races held for several years, the Race Park has decided to open up the races to additional families and of course dogs. The Race Park will hold its first ever Derby Dog Dash on Saturday February 21, 2015. This special dog racing event will include 8 races for dogs weighing 16 lbs. or less. All attendees can bring their dog to the park for all to watch both the dog races and horse races. All dogs have to be on a leash and will not be allowed to enter the grand stands. Veteran Day Celebration 2012 in Katy TexasOne of the Veteran’s Day Celebration 2012 in Katy Texas will be hosted by the Katy Elks on Friday November 9, 2012. The celebration will be held at the Oaks at Brookshire Nursing Home which is located at 710 FM 359 South Brookshire Texas. Brookshire is physically located just west of Katy.The Elks program will include history of the Elks, Proclamations, comments by several dignitaries. I always need to file an extension due to my Real Estate activities and I still have to mail our tax return. This fact indicated to me to write a reminder blog for all who might have had this due date slip their minds. Believe it or not my clients and I actually got fired by another new home builder in Katy TX after my clients had signed a contract on a home located in a Cinco Ranch neighborhood. At first we were shocked as there was never a good reason set forth. Now we are actually proud of the fact as these folks did us a favor. The firing of my client and I will be the subject of another blog. My clients are really great people and a lot of fun to be around. Cinco Ranch is one of the Premier Master Planned Communities not only the greater in the Houston Metropolis but also in the entire US.
