Elkins Lake Market Report ~ October 2012 At the close of the month for October 2012,  there were: 37 Active Listings in Elkins Lake 1 home that entered into an Option Period. 2 Homes that went Pending. 5 that closed during the month. Of the 5 that closed, the smallest home had 1,820 square feet and the largest home had 3,820 square feet. The average price of homes sold was $72.21 per square foot with an average of 107 days on market. Be Thankful Challenge ~ Day 5: Ella Smither Geriatric Center   Today I am thankful for Ella Smither Geriatric Center in Huntsville, Texas. I first became aware of Ella Smither when I worked at Huntsville Funeral Home and the Director’s mother was a resident there. He was always telling us that he visited all of the homes in town -- and Ella Smither was the one that he selected for his mother. Why? The people. So... when my mother broke her shoulder and had to go to rehab for a month, Ella Smither Geriatric Center was my immediate choice. Mother spent one month in their care, and I have to agree... the people at Ella Smither are more than wonderful. A year later, my mother broke her hip and the other shoulder.
