Sunday, November 15,  is the last day of the Lakewood Home Festival.   Homes will be open from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.   Featured homes are located on the west side of White Rock Lake, between West Lawther Drive and Abrams Road. Street parking is available near each of the homes on the tour. Tickets, priced at $20,  can be purchased at each of the Six Homes on Tour.  You can begin the tour at any one of the six homes.  Guests receive a ticket admission book with details about each of the homes on tour.  Five of the homes on tour were built before 1941.  While visiting these five homes, be sure to note the history of each of the property.  The sixth home, built in the Hollywood Regency style, was completed in 2015.  Today the builder was on hand to share information about the unique buildin... 11/14/2015

East Dallas has been under quite the buzz with speculation and hypothesis of what is to come for the dust filled corner of Gaston and Garland Avenue. What served for many years as the hub of weekend activity with a Latin Dance Club, it saw many years prior to as a vacant lot with a shell of commercial space. Home sales in the Lakewood and M Streets area were up 2% in February 2014 compared to last year, with 181 homes selling this month. So far this year, overall home sales have a decrease of 9% , with 310 homes sold. New Lakewood and M Streets real estate listings decreased 9% from last year, with 287 homes listed this month. For the year-to-date, home listings have increased 4%, with 604 homes listed. The number of current listings under contract this month was down 16%, at 219 homes. Lakewood Texas Home Sales were down 9% in November 2013 over the same month last year with 176 homes selling this month! So far this year, overall home sales were at 2,774 homes sold, a 21% change from this time last year. New Lakewood and M Streets Texas Real Estate listings changed 2% for the same period last year with 255 homes listed this month. So far this year, overall home listings underwent a 7% change with 3,666 homes listed. Current listings pending sale this month underwent a change of -7%, with 182 homes contracted.
