Last week, I blogged about the New Years Day art walk in Addison, around the Addison Circle area. The art installations I covered in that post were part of the carefully planned route that our docent suggested we see. However, there were a few additional stops not on the original plan that we passed. Bright and early (ok, it was noon) on the first day of 2025, I, along with several other Addison locals put on our walking shoes and spent a few hours visiting some of the town's outdoor art installations. We were led by Kathy Moore, a member of the Addison Arbor Foundation. The foundation is a 501(c)(3) all-volunteer nonprofit, with a mission to promote and enhance landscaping, public art, public parks and parks and recreation programs at the Town of Addison. We met at the Addison Conference Center at the north end of Addison Circle Park. This is Texas, after all. There are rodeos.  There are probably goats. But Rodeo Goat? What the heck is that?Rodeo Goat is a restaurant concept developed by owner Shannon Wynne. Moving into the space formerly occupied by Spring Creek BBQ at 14901 Midway Road, the interior will feature the atmosphere of a Texas rodeo. A while ago, I wrote a post about a proposed Planning and Zoning change coming before the Addison Town Council regarding the White Rock Chapel.  Over the summer, the council voted down the recommendation from the Planning & Zoning Commission which would have allowed the church to operate. Can you imagine?Many of the wealthy homeowners in the neighborhood around the church oppose the church.
