I understand ActiveRain began its journey approximately 19 years ago during the month of June 2006. As a social network and blogging platform, new thought writers in the profession focused on the real estate industry. I am grateful for having begun in 2010, and that I can continue to write blog stories on ActiveRain.  This platform has been a haven, for prolific writers, educators, outstanding photographers, and extraordinary Real Estate Professionals. Members come from a plethora of different Brokerages, cities, and states. Both active and retired remain to be seen or unseen. In the spirit of AR, even deceased members are remembered. The creative spirit throughout the years have guided me in my business and profoundly enriched my life. Favorite Quotes from Author James Pattersonand personal thoughts to ponder... "Imagine life is a game in which you are juggling five balls. The balls are called work, family, health, friends, and integrity. And you're keeping all of them in the air. But one day you finally come to understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. The other four balls...are made of glass. If you drop one of these, it will be irrevocably scuffed, nicked, perhaps even shattered."---James Peterson---  "Your mind creates your reality. If you expect nothing, you open up the universe to give you options. If you expect the worst, you usually get it." ---James Peterson---  "You are an endless project....changing, evolving, surprising."---James Peterson---  "For a long time, it had seeme...

There’s nothing better than one-on-one time with my granddaughter Beckett! She’s 10 (almost 11 in August!) and just weeks away from graduating 5th grade, she already has her dress picked out and is counting down the days to May 29th! While her amazing mom was tackling a self-imposed 50-mile overnight running challenge (yes, you read that right—50 miles starting at 8 PM!), I had the absolute pleasure of spending the evening with Beckett. Her brother was off at a birthday sleepover, her dad was going to be biking behind her, so it was just the two of us. We went out to dinner at The Grove, then treated ourselves to some delicious froyo at Planet Yogurt, complete with all the toppings, of course! I stayed the night to keep Beckett company while her mom ran through the night (literally!)....

I saw one in a Gallery in Denton, Texas. This got me to thinking. Legs are not only fundamental to human anatomy but also crucial components of furniture such as chairs and tables. The legs of a chair or table provide stability, ensuring that the furniture stands firm and can support weight without tipping over. This structural integrity is vital for the usability and safety of the fu...

In 2025 the month of May presents an interesting Challenge. Out of curiosity, Carol Williams and Margaret Rome Baltimore 410-530-2400 asked if "You could rewind time and start your real estate career again," what would you do differently or "What would your do-over look like?"Ever since I was a young girl, there were two movies and songs that made a lasting impression on me. They were: 1) Sound of Music, and 2) Born Free. So, to answer the question about going back in time, I would have to start from the very beginning, such as, "Let's start at the very beginning, a very good place to start..." Street Sign in Flower Mound, TexasREFLECTIONSSurvey after survey, one of the biggest struggles any business owner encounter begins with communication. Cinco de Mayo is often mistaken for Mexican Independence Day (that’s in September!), but it honors the 1862 Battle of Puebla, when a smaller Mexican army pulled off an incredible win against the French. Today, it’s a vibrant celebration of Mexican culture, music, food, and yes... tequila! Since May 5 falls on a Monday this year, Austin is partying all weekend long. Here are 10 fun ways to join the fiesta:♦La Fête de Cinco de Mayo – Saturday, May 3Celebrate the cultural fusion of Mexico and France with family-friendly fun, mariachi, ballet folklórico, and local vendors at Mexic-Arte Museum.
