Houston's Housing Market Saw a Modest Uptick In New ListingsHouston's housing market saw a modest uptick in new listings last week, but it wasn't enough to offset declines in pending sales and closings.New listings on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) increased by 6.9% during the week ending November 20, according to the Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS®. However, pending listings fell by 3% year-over-year, while closings dropped by 5.3%.Despite the decline in sales, consumer interest remained strong. Traffic at property showings increased by 4% compared to the same week last year. The increase in new listings is a positive sign for the Houston housing market, but it remains to be seen whether it will be enough to boost sales activity. El Arroyo is an iconic local spot in Austin. They make the best hand-squeezed margaritas and serve Black Angus beef tacos (along with many other Tex- Mex offerings) and have since 1975!A quirky marquee is out front on the corner of West 5th and Campbell. Every day they change their bill board with a new pun (everything imaginable).  They encourage you to submit your pun on their website and of course have permission to post them. It’s one of those “Keep Austin Weird” things that we all in Austin love! They post them on Instagram because everyone loves them. Our own Myrl Jeffcoat follows them as well as Kathy Streib and chef Endre Barath, Jr.! I also see Debe Maxwell, CRS has been following them. We all need some laughter or a chuckle each day! It's fun checking out the new pun each day. ...

St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, built in 1867 is the church where my grandparents belonged when they immigrated to America before the first World War. They were part of the first wave to America from their country. It is still an active church and was the first Polish Catholic Church in Chicago. My grandfather served during the war in 1917 until 1919 in the United States Calvary of the mounted force of the United States Army. After being honorably discharged after the war, my grandparents married in St. Stanislaus Koskta Church. The home where they lived was taken away by eminent domain to make way for the Northwest Highway, which was renamed the Kennedy Expressway. It was unannymously voted on by the Chicago City Council to change the name on November 29, 1963, seven days after President...

Lucky me! I had a window seat on a Chartered Bus and saw this amazing architectural art on the wall of a building near the UNT Dallas College of Law. The three-dimensional historical artistic representation was designed to pop off the building to get your attention! Why this post on Friday? Because Friday is Why Day. When it comes to learning, I am always interested in exploring eye-popping learning opportunities!Upon arrival at the UT Dallas College of Law Center I had to sit on the bus with everyone else to wait for security clearance to enter the building. The architectural features could easily be appreciated with its symetrical front facade, columns, dentils, cornice, and the architect's attention to details. A trip to the UNT Dallas College of Law Center is a privilege. Attending ...
