This may be a premature introduction, but say hello to the only cherry tree that survived my collection of foodie paradise plantings my kids selected, dug holes for, then helped plant. I remember this gem of a beauty when it was just a three foot, dried up twig thinner than the circumference of my pinkie finger. It's a survivor of the flash flood and needs a new cherry tree family to keep it company.Say hello to the last McIntosh apple tree that I own. It also did that curious slow lean I previously talked about, tipping all the way to the ground... I'm trying to figure out a way to save it because my kids and I are really fond of that tree. It was also a twiglet we planted right next to the cherry tree I introduced you to. It is located down field approximately 380 feet off of Bloody B...

I love South Carolina. It is the birthplace of my Mom. It is the state I spent every summer (and every other fall) in since I was six years old. It is were I teach my kids to be Gentleman Farmers, plant rotating crops and gardens, tend to multiple species of fruit trees and speculate on the best place to set up the TRX equipment to engage in Bloody Bucket Boxing Bootcamp. Unfortunately, I never got to set up my personal exercise camp this visit because the stream behind my property overflowed during the Flash Flooding, resulting in a logistical mess.FYI: There really is a Bloody Bucket Road in Williamsburg County. It is where my family and I own several acres of vacation/recreational land. If we are playing on the property down Tip Top Drive, then it becomes Tip Top Boxing. If we are pl...

Greeleyville, SC Has Beautiful Cotton Fields and Historic Churches I was on the hunt for historic churches from the 1800s when I wandered across the road to enjoy one of the most beautiful and delicate creations from God. They are incredibly soft and make me itch to touch them. I love plants. They're like snowflakes. No two are alike (LOL). This tiny treasure lives across the lane from this magnificent, ancient bell...

Wordy C Goes To Williamsburg Technical College, Kingstree SC To Participate In A Lecture Regarding Exceptional Children Life With Wee People, The Outside Blog Minion Report and my ActiveRain Blog regarding Autism/PDD-NOS issues was incorporated into Professor Walker's Class in lecture room 117. Understanding child development can be very tricky issues because no two children are exactly alike and when you are dealing with learning disabled children, the spectrum of disorders and idiosyncrasies can be quite wide. Infinite in fact. While I was wandering around campus with my mother I had no idea that today's topic would be how the brain functions. I also had no idea I would be participating and presenting for this particular discussion, so it was mad fun to dive in and throw a wild card ...

Kingstree has a new sandwich shop - Frances Calhoun owned by Wendy Morris. The restaurant is located in the old Dubin's Men Shop building at 109 N. Academy Street. Their menu consists of classics like chicken salad, the Dubin Reuben and mix and match meat, bread, & cheese combinations. The lunch I had there was great from a sandwich lovers perspective. It was salami and ham on fresh rye bread served with a side of potato salad and a chocolate chip cookie for desert. Add a soda and the combination came out to $6.95 plus tip.In February, Frances Calhoun was awarded the Williamsburg Hometown Chamber's Image Award for the work Ms. Morris did the building. By bringing back a local business landmark, an award is a small token of apprecitiation.

Greeleyville, SC Okay, it's official. I will be taking the exam to get my license in South Carolina. Yay! I am very excited about this because the goal is to get licensed in FL, TX and SC to compliment my NY venture. One of my mentors has inspired me to toy with the idea of possibly adding PA to the modified business plan. Hmm... we'll have to save that for another blog post. I will definitely have to pass my FL exam first before I add another state to my fav list.  Do you see that tiny little white building way on the back and in the upper left quadrant of this photograph? I will be setting up shop next to that electrical pole sometime in the near future. This is an L shaped 1.5 acre plot that my Mom and Dad own with beautiful views everywhere you turn. It will be my temporary HQ wher...
