     It was Friday night, December 3rd 2010 in North Myrtle Beach. I had just finished dinner with my Girlfriend and was pondering what to do next with the rest of my evening seeing as she wanted to go scour through T.J.Maxx for any new articles she can't live without!  I remembered, earlier that night I had read a Post on Facebook from ListenUp Myrtle Beach  talking about a Local Area Music School that was having a concert at the House of Blues Myrtle Beach where they would showcase the combined talents of young students and the Bands they had formed. A beautiful day at the beach with no signs of the hurricane named Earl.  It passed by hundreds of miles away from the coastal area of North Myrtle Beach.  A client told me they had a concern about storms at the beach.  I explained that there are storms everywhere in the country that give no advance warning but if their concern was hurricanes at least we know in advance a general area where they are expected to make landfall.    09/04/2010

Today was my birthday.  My husband surprised me by coming home mid-week to take my friends and me out for a celebration.  He made reservations at my favorite restaurant, Martini's Bar & Grill in North Myrtle Beach.  It is under new ownership due to the previous owner's retirement.  In fact, we were laughing with the new owner Jeff that he trained in Key West to be a chef but when he returned to the beach, his dad put him to work in a pancake house, Sunshine Pancake House in Calabash.  His family and the previous owners' family have known each other for years so it was very opportune to make the transition to an upscale restaurant.  The menu is pretty much the same but Jeff has lowered the prices and I can attest that the quality is still there.  The link I have provided is the old menu ... 09/01/2010

We've all seen the mistake. There we are, casually browsing some real estate site and there it is: CLICK HERE FOR A VIRTUAL TOUR. Only it isn't a virtual tour at all.... but merely a slideshow, sometimes music sometimes silent but still nonetheless a slideshow. What irks so many in the Internet community is how many times they witness such a blunder. In summation, the following are a few distinctions between a virtual tour and a slideshow. As one pundit put it so aptly, "Every agent in the world now thinks a ‘virtual tour' is a picture slideshow with pans in and out. It annoys the hell out of me." The end of my daughter’s month long French immersion program in Nice was the beginning of our vacation together.  I took this opportunity to have my daughter all to myself for some much needed mother-daughter bonding, after an arduous year in the Real Estate Trenches of short sales and foreclosures.  A little adventure was just what the doctor ordered and I returned refreshed and ready to delve into the business once again.   Before you rent that golf cart in North Myrtle Beach, know the rules! *  Golf cart drivers must follow all SC state traffic laws and Must Be Licensed Drivers. *  Golf cart must display a SC permit sticker. *  Golf cart is allowed only on secondary roads; however, they may cross primary roads like highway 17 or Sea Mt. Highway.  Golf carts are not allowed on sidewalks. * Seating capacity must not be exceeded. * Golf cart may only be driven in the daytime, even if, cart has lights. 1408 Waterway Drive, North Myrtle Beach, SC is located in Sunset Harbour, a gorgeous waterway community with homes ranging from upper 200,000s to well over $2,000,000.  I have blogged about this property before...price has been reduced to mid 500,000s.  I strolled the community a few weeks ago taking pictures of all the new construction on the waterway side of Waterway Drive and  a few pictures of surrounding homes on the other side. On June 26th, like a wave spanning the World, people everywhere joined hands and formed human chains to symbolize barricades against oil spills and oil drilling.  Many of us participated in the event to show solidarity and support for our brothers and sisters in the Gulf of Mexico, who have been so hard hit by the tragic course of events following the April 20th Deepwater Horizon explosion and oil spill.    The hand holding started at noon local times, moving around the world “in a wave” that started in New Zealand and ended in Kauai, Hawaii.  People in 742 places all over the world came together to protest oil drilling and show support for clean energy:  Australia, India, South Africa, Japan, South Korea, Greenland, Brazil, Europe, Canada and all across the United States.
