It was my friend's birthday yesterday. He and his partner are always so good to me. On Christmas Eve the seven fishes were prepared and they hosted the nicest party. Gifts for everyone . When I opened mine I was so happy just what I needed, then there was another and another and another it seemed endless. When we went to have coffee, I noticed the coffee maker I had purchased for them was not there I was told they had not filled out the warranty and  it stopped working.  So I shopped online first for a KEURIG and I found at Walmart  a beautiful coffee maker only in black all other colors were $69.99 but Black was $47.99  it was a steal of a deal check it out if you need a coffee maker it can make up to 3 cups at one time online only. They loved it so much they purchased one for a friend...

Working From Home Today and I had a recruiting call I just love them. Usually I am off the phone very quickly and they annoy me flattery me briefly but not much . This person was just interesting, he set a small spark of interest not enough to set a fire as I am very happy where I am. We knew many of the same people his father in law whom he had never met was a very close friend and had passed away many years ago and was missed by many because he was such an awesome person . The conversation flowed at that point talking of days gone by when Real Estate was so much fun, so much more social than it is today.  You had to have lived it to understand.Questions, questions asking me questions and I answered I am comfortable with where and who I am.  I do not have to be a top producer I just ha...

Unusual weather we are having here this year. The Sunday temperatures went up to 65 degrees. I went outside with a heavy sweater to take out the trash .  It is supposed to snow by nightfall. My neighbor is moving into an assisted living facility and had a computer chair she was not taking and thought I could use it. Think I will put on a little heavier jacket only because it is January and they say snow tonight up to one inch accumulation. My good friend Lynne went over with me as she is taking a beautiful piece of furniture just not today . So happy she did as she positioned the chair into my car perfectly. We were thinking of going out to eat, but our favorite local eatery did not have outdoor dining today and we decided against it . Carol Williams will know this eatery we went there f...

Miracles happen this time of year friends and family all get together business associates too ! A festive time of the year cards are sent and gifts are exchanged. There are office parties and house parties. The streets are lit up with colorful lights and windows are tastefully decorated. It really does not matter what religion you are it is difficult not to be singing the Christmas tunes or have the Christmas spirit as it is a wonderful beautiful time of year. Church bells are ringing and some are whistling tunes. What a happy time of the year.Did you know that this year the average person spent $1200 dollars on gifts and that was  items they charged and now owe. The average person exchanged at least one of their gifts and did not pretend to like their gift. These statistics do not chan...

This week I spent my time wrapping my presents thankfully I was done shopping. What an exhausting month it was, Not just for shopping but also in Real Estate. Then again, if you watch the news here on the East Coast Covid is in the news again making everyone conscious of mask wearing and becoming vaccinated. There are some restaurants where indoor dining you must show proof that you are vaccinated in order to eat there in fact, that will be law sometime in January in Philadelphia just for indoor dining not outdoor dining. New York City to watch the New Year Ball drop the same thing . Won't it be wonderful when this all passes?   Well, enough of this gloom and doom, let's talk about last minute Steals and DEALS  Coach outlet is still has great deals and you may not have gift in hand you ...

All I wanted was a dog I prayed to God . Please Please I have been so good . May I please have a dog?. I will listen to Mom and Dad . I will continue to do good in school. I was nine years old and this was my wish. I prayed I didn't want a a doll or toys just a dog. I would keep my room clean oh please dear God.The next morning when I woke up it was very early I brushed my teeth and then my hair, I slowly peeked into my parents room. My father was up and reading the paper. He slowly lowered it and said Good Morning Hannah how are you this fine day? I answered Good Daddy, but I think I am hungry. He answered well I think you should go into the kitchen and open the basement door. When you do there will be a surprise for you. After that we can talk about breakfast . I ran downstairs, opene...

Here I thought I was pretty much done my shopping. To me it seems like it is an endless battle . I see other people and they are so organized, but that is not me. Every year I try it just never happens  work just seems to get in the way. Sometimes I even put the gifts away and forget all about them and find them after the holidays.  Holiday gifting is certainly an art .Now let's talk about deals the best place to get wrapping paper for those wonderful gifts is YES, you guessed it the DOLLAR STORE  they have such beautiful wrapping paper and gift boxes. They have ribbons and bows . You can find name tags and so many other things to make your package beautiful. I was amazed at the wonderful Holiday Boxed Card they have for yes, you guessed it $1.00.   They also have individual Christmas c...

Let's talk about Delaire Landing Gated Condo Community  Well, I was doing just that the other day. I was on a Zoom call where we were had a speaker that was talking about Condo Nightmares . In the conversation when there was questions and answers I talked about Delaire Landings Gate issue.  Well, this was a kind of a laughable matter as it is a gated community without a working gate. This issue is not laughable to its residents . They want the gate fixed. The band-aids that have been used are not working.  They have had enough. There was a beautiful Holiday Party for the senior residents in the clubhouse. They have a club and the members put together a great party. Fun and laughter was had by all. They shared many pictured on the Facebook website .There is also a new security company at...

Let's talk about Bakers Bay  Condo Community . What a wonderful place to live. I have very close friends and family that live plus have been involved in enough sales there to know what I am talking about .There are two different sections the Gardens and the Mid Rise . The Gardens are flats and townhouses that have small gardens. There are different styles that fit different needs, they also  have fireplaces and assigned parking places infact their parking spaces are deeded to them .  People usually have lovely gardens . I did forget to mention there are spots for visitors to park . These spots are not numbered . Some residents will get very upset if you park in their numbered spot . So I am giving you fair warning do not park in the numbered parking spots. Then there is the Mid Rise Bu...

Oh has your purse run dry your boots stayed warm your TV kept you entertained. Do you ever get the sense that the spirit of co-operation has been lost in the transactions, or is it me? The last few deals I have experienced the agents have been a nightmare to deal with or was it me? They did not go to the Home inspection with their buyer. I don't know I have seen ads on TV showing the benefits of using Realtors. The ad showed a buyer being out of town and having their agent handling the Home inspection for them. Now some agents say they do not go as it is too much liability.  I don't get it maybe it is me, but I find it difficult to read a  report . If I am there I can ask the inspector to explain so I can see just what the problem is. The little item can stay little and we can keep it in the right  perspective  .After all, the buyer is buying a used house not new ...

According to the IRS, the virtual currency is a digital representation of value that functions as a medium of exchange, a unit of account, and/or a store of value. In some environments, it operates like “real” currency (i.e., the coin and paper money of the United States or of any other country that is designated as legal tender, circulates, and is customarily used and accepted as a medium of exchange in the country of issuance), but it does not have legal tender status in  the U.S. Cryptocurrency is a type of virtual currency that utilizes cryptography to validate and secure transactions that are digitally recorded on a distributed ledger, such as a blockchain.Virtual currency that has an equivalent value in real currency, or that acts as a substitute for real currency, is referred to ...

Oh the day is coming near and Debe Maxwell is  still asking "What am I Thankful for" This question as Michael Jacobs says so well pounders my mind . What am I thankful for??  All the little things around me. That is what I am thankful for . I was speaking to my dear friend today . I think you remember her I spoke of her, she had COVID before anyone knew what it was . Yes her name is Diane and we were speaking of times gone by. When we didn't have computers and had to wait for the silly multiple listing books  and ride around looking for signs on houses. Today everything is at our fingertips. Even shopping for food. There was a time when if you could not get to the food store, you had to depend on others now there are times I prefer to shop online for my food. I love Whole Foods and it i...

Hurry Hurry Hurry The best deals are here. Oh my it is over I am so relieved . Did you ever have a closing with an agent that just made everything harder than it had to be . They felt they could boss you and order you around and for some strange reason there was disrespect . A complete lack of cooperation . Thanksgiving Day is almost here I am so Thankful ! I really earned my commission on this one .  asked what are we thankful for I started to write about shopping.  This is the perfect time of the year to do so . Plus, you see I was moving and had so much going on I fell out of the habit of blogging and that is not good . So I am very thankful for this time to write this post and I hope you are having fun reading it . We need not be so serious al the time .  Sometimes we need to have s...

Debe Maxwell, CRS asked what am I thankful for this year.Well, after thinking and shopping for Thanksgiving dinner, I thought about one of my favorite side dishes that I would like to share as I usually do every year.  That is a simple one homemade Cranberry Sauce .I was thankful I thought as I was looking for apple cider I would do a different variation that I thought would be great in case some people were also making a ham. Ok, let's start out with the basics one bag of fresh cranberry's . Take the cranberries and drain and rinse in a colander. Measure one cup of sugar, brown or white sugar can be used, it is a matter of taste. This year I am using white sugar - here is the variation this year-  If you are going to go with the crushed pineapple and cranberry sauce, drain the pineappl...

This post was inspired by Nina Hollander, Broker - I do not want to Jinx myself in Yiddish there is a word for it, but I do not know how to spell it I know how to say it spell it NO Why am I Thankful  this year ? There are so many little things, but the Big thing is my health. Yes COVID19 . There are many people who say no I will not get the shot the vaccine is a conspiracy. To me it was a gift from GOD .  All the brilliant people in the world worked day and night to find a cure for this horrible virus that took the lives of so many people.  My closest friend had this virus before it was known to be COVID 19 . We were in a silly argument . We stopped talking friends for almost 40 years . I stopped in the Acme where one of her employes works I never go there, but something pulled me ther...
