Chester County has taken the step to improve the voting machines used in elections. Already leading the way with the use of paper ballots, the county investigated updating the ballot machines used and after review decided to ask the company presently used for providing voting machines to supply new machines that help prevent voter fraud. Last night we visited Hakata Ramen and Sushi in the Gateway Shopping Plaza in Tredyffrin Easttown. Here is what we thought.This is a new restaurant, locally owned and the first Ramen restaurant in Tredyffrin Easttown. It is a BYOB, with pretty modern decor although there were some interesting design choices which jarred with the overall design. For example some old window frames with fake flowers which did not seem to agree with the mural on the wall by the open kitchen. Tables and chairs were not great quality, and one booth had you looking at the back of another bench. How was the food? Last week we began marketing a new Tredyffrin Easttown listing. Yesterday we presented our seller with 11 offers.What did we do to generate 11 offers?Firstly we realized the home required work and was going to be sold "As is" with the seller unable to do any repairs. Have you ever realized for years you have missed out on something right under your nose?I have driven past this space so many times, and this week decided to stop and see what was here. The George Lorimer Preserve is 87.8 acres and is a combination of meadows, woods, Valley Creek, birds, ponds, wildflowers and a small trail system all open to the public for free to walk and enjoy.It doesn't take long to walk, but if you have some dogs, as long as you keep them on leash it is a wonderful place to take them for a walk. What I love about our area is the glimpses of history around us. Driving out via Valley Forge Park to Phoenixville along Route 252 North a little before you get to Route 23 you see the bridge below. Recently repaired after a truck clipped the side and demolished a portion of it it is a glimpse of days gone by. There is parking close by and a lovely trail along the river or creek bank under the shade of trees.
