This month AR members were invited by Dr. Paul McDonald and Kathleen Daniels to take part in a challenge called Acts of Kindness | Sharing Love & Joy This Holiday Season.  This is one of my contributions.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This is the 30th year that a former co-agent of ours, Bob Teta, has helped feed those in need along with the help of others connected to his church community, in Delaware County, PA.It all began years ago after he lost three members of his family in a very short period of time. Being the kind person that he is, shortly after that horrid reality, he and his wife were approached by a needy person on the street asking for money, which they gave him. Having people look over your shoulder as you work can sometimes be a little unsettling. We, at TNT, were tasked with removing a 30’ high cyclone fence back stop on a baseball field, along w/ player benches,  180’ of fence & a large scoreboard, 10’ x 16’ that stood 20’ in the air. Our plan regarding the back stop was to cut all the interior upright poles, leaving the last 2 outer poles. Just as I thought this would be a smooth operation, along come the school execs to observe.   The 2 workers then started cutting the outer poles. The plan was to cut  ¾’s of the way around the pole & let gravity & the truck do the rest. As they were cutting, the truck driver’s foot sli...

A couch was in the middle of their kitchen, almost blocking access to their fridge!"Alright Mason, whats with the upholstered furniture in your kitchen?", I replied.Mason answered, "My brother-in-law & I tried for 45 minutes to move it. Then my cousin came over and we tried for a half hour to move it to the basement. It just isn't going down there."He explained that that was two weeks ago. "I am going to ask a family member if they want it or just put an ad in the paper since it won't fit down the steps."I asked for a tape measure, meas...

Welcome to Glenolden in Delaware County Pennsylvania.  Today we have the opportunity to visit the Glendolden PA SEPTA Station on the SEPTA R2 Regional Rail Line with service from Center City Philadelphia through to Wilmington and Newark Delaware.  The video also includes a close up of the Amtrak Acela passing the station. This is one of the smaller stations on the line.  It does have a small waiting room and office on the south side of the tracks.  The station itself is located at the overpass for Glenolden Avenue just one block south of Chester Pike.  This SEPTA station does have some limited parking on both sides of the track, but it is designed primarily as a local walk up or drop off station.  Although within blocks of the Borough Hall and commercial areas, the area is primarily res...
