Defeating the purpose of a Wordless Wednesday post by typing words, I feel the need to say that Covid Era Santa Claus gave me a little wave and then an I love You hand sign.  He is wearing a mask and is behind plexiglass and while this is sad, I think it's nice to keep the traditions going even if they are changed just a bit.  The fan, keeping Santa cool, came straight from the North Pole! Last night, Chester County's Town Tours and Village Walks met in West Whiteland Twp. , Pennsylvania. Shoppers know it as the home to the Exton Mall, but historians know that this area of Chester County has long been known as the "Great Valley." (Richard Thomas house, left) On the morning of September 15, 1777, the "Battle of the Clouds" began and just as quickly ended with a torrential rainstorm that left combatants, both British and Continental, up to their knees in mud.   If you know me, you know I love to read.  I've been reading everything I can get my hands on since the first grade!  I have so many books that I have run out of room to store them.  With on-line book buying made so easy, and a great "bring and take" area in my gym, I haven't had to go to the library in quite some time.   Last week my best friend asked me if I felt like taking a ride to one of the nicest libraries in the area, The Chester County Library in Exton.  When we arrived I felt that old excitement; all these books and I could read whatever I wanted.  I took 3 books home and started right in.  I quickly discovered that one of the books was one I had already read so I moved on to the next one!  This is the beauty of the library.  I don't need to rely on my spaghetti strainer of ... 06/05/2011
