Booty Shakin' Time At West Linn's 6th Annual Street Dance July 13 2013 One of the fun things about living in West Linn is being able to enjoy all the wonderful local events during the year. Living here, you get this wonderful small town feel, but yet you have all the ammenities of living close to downtown Portland. This coming Saturday, July 13th you can come on down to Historic Willamette and dance the night away. The first time I went to this, It was interesting to see that they actually close off the street in the historic downtown area. The West Linn Farmer's Market 2013 Has Officially Kicked Off! Last night, I got to enjoy strolling the booths of the West Linn Farmer's Market in Historic downtown Willamette.  I was very excited to see several new venders and came home with some fantastic items! Let see, some of the items I purchased this weeks were a bottle of yummy vinegar, hummus, locally made hot dogs and keilbasa, fresh free range chicken eggs, and cherries for the food products, and a gorgeous ceramic vase and plant for my deck. If I hadn't just came from my local chiropractor at Revive injury and Wellness Clinic, I would have taken them up on the massage at there booth!   Spring has sprung throughout the Portland Metro Area, but one of my favorite views is right in my own West Linn backyard! I love how the Japanese maples have filled in..seemingly overnight. Before long the gorgeous fat pink cherry blossoms will turn turn to leaves. I took advantage of walking through the "pink snow" below before this happens. My tulips are now almost fading and the blue scilla has blanketed many areasof my yard. My favorite though is the main reason we bought the house. The first time we walked through the front door and took in that huge wall of windows that framed out the elegant weeping willow..well, we were sold! I Voluntarily Walked My Drugs Into The West Linn Police Station That's right, I gathered up my drugs and took them down to the West Linn Police Station on my own. I decided to clean up my cabinet where I store all my over the counter as well as prescription medicines and was really not surprised to find some in there that have expired. I figured if I had cans in my pantry from 2005 ( I know..bad), my medicine cabinet had to be just as bad. Trying to stop the improper disposal of medications, the West Linn and the Tualatin police stations I might add have installed drop off boxes for ease of disposal.
