The 299 properties have been on the market for an average of 88 days.Inventory has been lightening lately and the Market Action Index has been trending up. These are mildly positive indications for the market. SUPPLY AND DEMANDThe market has been cooling over time and prices plateaued for a while. Despite the consistent decrease in MAI, we're in the Seller's zone. Watch for changes in MAI. If the MAI resumes it's climb, prices will likely follow suit. BMX in Redmond by John and Sandy Kohlmoos Great Northwest Nationals Some 1,200 racers from across the region came to Redmond this weekend  to compete in the American Bicycle Association’s BMX Great Northwest Nationals at the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center.  The Great Northwest is one of 34 ABA Nationals scheduled for 2011, and the fourth of the year. Surely, too, this event is an apt follow up to the last post . . . Bend Named #2 “Death-Defyng” City in the USA The event was staged in Redmond for the fourth consecutive year. I just attended a very informative HUD webinar class about what seems to be an awesome way to create some affordable homebuying and selling opportunities for buyers and realtors.  By attending this class, I am qualified/certified to write deals under this program.. For Deschutes County, there will be opportunities in Redmond. A google map will be posted in early September where you will be able to type in the address to see if the property is qualified.  It sounds like the opportunities will be mainly in Redmond and Lapine.  The purpose of the NSP (Neighborhood Stabilization Program) is to clear out foreclosure inventory and stabilize housing prices.  The nice thing about this program is that you don't have to be low income to qualify.  This program is more targeted to the middle class ...

Free Summer Concert Series by the Redmond Chamber of Commerce Sponsored by Home Federal Bank This week's artist was local songwriter Ross Rogers.
