I recently had the opportunity to spend a day of adventure on the Rogue River out of Gold Beach Oregon. Gold Beach is a 30 minute drive north of Brookings and is where you can JET BOAT on the Rogue River. What fun!!  You have several different rides to select from, but we decided to go for the longest ride of 104 miles round trip on JERRY'S ROGUE JETS.                    We started our ride at the Port of Gold Beach and after everyone was loaded on the Jet Boat we started up river. It was a very chilly morning and everyone had jackets and/or sweaters on to keep warm. It was a bright sunny day and I knew it would get more than just a little warm once we were up river just a few miles. Our pilot, Tom Biggs, was well informed about the local area and specifically about the Rogue River. He ...

It's probably one of the best places in the world to do nothing, like walking along a sandy beach just clearing your head. Or sitting on a gusty bluff, watching clouds go by. Gazing into a tidepool for what seems like hours, till that starfish finally moves on. Maybe casting a line with no thought at all except what's in that calm pool on the other bank. Gold Beach has that kind of effect on you; it's just the best escape. On the other hand, it's also one of the Northwest's choicest bases for launching yourself into about anything you've been meaning to do "someday" - whitewater jet boating, kayaking, windsurfing, wilderness mountain hiking or biking, or maybe just seeing an eagle, otter or bear that's not in a pen. There's magic to that, and something really magical about knowing it's ...

Welcome to Gold Beach Oregon, on the southern Oregon coast. Gold Beach is a colorful county seat that offers countless adventures and beautiful panoramas. Curry County stretches across more than 25% of the Oregon Coast with over 1,648 square miles... more than half of that is national forest. Gold Beach Oregon offers excellent access to the Rogue River plus the best beach access on the coast. The Rogue River is known worldwide for prolific salmon and steelhead. Rogue Reef is home to a massive stellar sea lion rookery and also provides some of the best bottom fishing on the entire coast. The 70 or so annual inches of rain are very much the reason why you'll love our forests, rivers and streams. And with 300+ days of sun per year the weather is always great for outdoor adventure!       G...
