Snow Countess Gets A Face LiftFrom Bob McFarland, Director of Community Services, City of Woodstock Those travelling in the vicinity of Dundas and Springbank Streets in Woodstock will see a tent erected over the statue of Springbank Snow Countess. Why? Toyota to expand Woodstock, Ontario plantFebruary 7, 2006 - Woodstock, Ontario - Toyota said today that annual production capacity will increase to 150,000 RAV4 sport utility vehicles at a plant under construction here. Total employment will reach about 2,000 and the total investment will grow to about C$1.1 billion/US$950 million.The facility, managed by Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada (TMMC) in Cambridge, was announced last June and construction began in October. Toyota Tsusho Canada to Invest $6.4 Million in WoodstockFebruary 20, 2007-The City of Woodstock, Toyota Tsusho Canada, Inc. (TTCI is a subsidiary of Toyota Tsusho America, Inc. (TAI), and Green Metals Canada, Inc. (GMI) are pleased to announce that TTCI and GMI will invest $6.4 million in a new facility in Woodstock.  TTCI and GMI will build a metal recycling facility on a 7.2 hectare (17.9 acres) on Beards Lane.  TTCI is also investigating the construction of additional Toyota related facilities on the same site.  Mayor Michael Harding welcomed the official announcement of TTCI's investment in the community by saying, "We are extremely pleased that TTCI and GMI have chosen Woodstock for its important investment.  This is great news.  We are very pleased that this new facility will be b...
