Dr. David McKeown took the unusual step of speaking at a protest organized by the Clean Train Coalition, repeating concerns about the health impacts of Metrolinx's proposal for the Georgetown south corridor. "The trouble is the current proposal (is) built on a foundation of diesel – a mode of transportation we know is bad for air quality and not good for our health," McKeown told an energetic crowd of more than 500 gathered at Sorauren Park in Roncesvalles Village. Here is the complete article from the Star. Diesel Trains Through the Junction So I asked Mark, (Father and Son, in captioned picture above) who took part in the march to Sorauren Park, his views. He lives in the Junction. We recently had a Purchaser client that was income challenged to qualify for a mortgage; that was limited by the Ontario Disabilities Pension for their monthly income. The building site that came to mind was the Option for Homes, where low income housing is mixed with open market purchases. This site is actually located at Keele and Dundas in the Junction, currently under construction with a proposed occupancy of 2011. Options for Homes is a private, not for profit corporation dedicated to providing home ownership for low to middle - income households. The not for profit model eliminates most developer costs including marketing. They had considered their target audience well, in that they had provided a staff of five for child care during the meeting and served a lovely refreshment station for those needing a bite after work. The group quickly identifie...

It had to be done quickly as the family had flown in from Los Angeles to sell the family home and were only going to be here for a few days.  I filled a van with as much inventory as possible as I was going to Stage a property sight unseen. Very little furniture was in the home, some victorian style sofas and chairs, some china, a bed from Ikea.   I arrived and suggested that the client and myself shop at Walmart for a few extra items. Started at 10 in the morning and finished at 10 that night. The best news came a few days later. The house sold for $ 15,000 over asking and had set a benchmark price for the area! Then the call came that the dea...
