Seven Oaks neighborhood - March 28, 2010 brought to you by Maureen McCabe  Today Seven Oaks is a City of Columbus neighborhood in the Worthington City School District.   Seven Oaks is south of  Lazelle Road.  One of the streets in Seven Oaks is named Ozem Gardner Way, after a historic area resident.  I wonder if the  Seven Oaks neighborhood  was part of the Reverend Ozem Gardner's farm.   It is likely.   The Flint Cemetery was part of his farm. Worthington Estates East brought to you by Maureen McCabe of Real Living HER Worthington.  * Worthington Estates East is a separate neighborhood from Worthington Estates.  Often homes are listed as Worthington Estates in the Columbus Board of REALTORS MLS when they are really in Worthington Estates East subdivision.  What's the difference in the two neighborhoods?  One is East of High Street (a big street with lots of traffic in 2010) and one is West of High Street. The sign on the north side of the Colonial Hills neighborhood says the Colonial Hills community is friendly so it must be so!  The community website also refers to the community as "THE FRIENDLY COMMNITY" According to Jennie McCormick's book, 'Worthington Neighborhoods' the residents formed the Colonial Hills Civic Association in 1952.  The neighborhood was annexed to the Village of Worthington in 1954 and the combined population of the village established in 1803 and the little 1940's "colonial look village"  down the road joined together.  Combined the two communities were big enough for Worthington to become a city if I am understanding the history correctly. Worthington's Olentangy Hills neighborhood brought to you by Maureen McCabe of Real Living HER Olentangy Hills is ithe City of Worthington, off W. Wilson Bridge Road.   The Olentany Hills neighborhood was platted in the late 1960's. This area of single family homes is a little newer than the Worthington Estates neighborhood, which is south of Olentangy Hills. Olentangy Highlands Worthington, Ohio Olentangy Highlands is a subdivision in Worthington Ohio that is very appealing to many home buyers.  The houses average about 2800 square feet and are located in a serene neighborhood off of Linworth Rd between Snouffer and 161. In the last six months five houses have been sold in Olentangy Highlands subdivision.  The average sales price was $306,500 at approximately $111.12 per square foot.  The average days on market in this subdivision is about a month with the home owners receiving 96% of their asking list price. Worthington schools restructuring only affects middle school students and then not even most middle school students.  Just the kids who would now attend one of the four (or five if you count Phoenix) middle schools in the Worthington City School District. McCord Middle School -  Map - 1500 Hard Road, Columbus, OH 43235 Perry Middle School - Map - 2341 Snouffer Road Worthington, OH 43085 The Perry Middle School building on Snouffer Road will still house Phoenix Middle School. The Worthingway neighborhood in Worthington Ohio was built in the early 1960s.
