"Worthington schools are not included" In a history of the Win-Win agreement the Columbus Dispatch wrote "Worthington schools are not included"* which says  "1986: Win-Win agreement signed between Columbus and 10 suburban districts: Canal Winchester, Dublin, Gahanna-Jefferson, Groveport Madison, Hamilton, Hilliard, New Albany-Plain, Reynoldsburg, South-Western and Westerville. Because of the 1968 agreement, Worthington schools are not included." Worthington already had an agreement with the Columbus school district and the city of Columbus.  The Worthingon agreement goes back to 1968 and there was a land swap. The Village of Flint in northern Franklin County has been annexed to the City of Columbus for some time.  Or perhaps there are still unincorporated areas along Flint Rd. and Park Rd. mixed in among the City of Columbus neighborhoods in the area:  The Village at Worthington The Village at Forest Ridge Christopher Woods The Sanctuary Maybe The Sanctuary is NOT really part of what was Flint, but doesn't it back up to the Flint Cemetery? Worthington Home Sales April 2010 With the home buyer tax credit expiring, April turned out to be a very good month for Worthington home sales.  26 houses sold in Worthington in April at an average sales price of $228,082, which comes out to $122.49 per square foot.  Home owners received an average of 98% of their asking price and homes were on the market for approximately two months.  There are still 94 homes for sale in Worthington, Oh with Worthington School District.  The average list price is $278,897 but with the amount of homes in inventory there is one in almost everyones price range.  For more information and for a free list of all Worthington, Oh homes for sale please contact your Worthington homes specialist. Worthington Schools 1937   This is another photo from my favorite "Worthington boy" from the 1930s.  Don O'Brien grew up north of Worthington on E. Wilson Bridge Rd. in the 1930s and 1940s.  Here is a photo of his 7th grade class in front of his classroom (a portable classroom.)  Wonder if 7th grade was  middle school or junior high?    The location for the classroom of 1937...  the Corner of Dublin Granville Rd and Evening St. in Worthington, in front of the school building which is now the McConnell Art Center, 777 Evening St Worthington OH 43085. For years the building was known as the Packard Building or the Packard Annex after the architect who built it. Old Worthington - National Historic District The Old Worthington historic disctrict was approved to be on the National Register of Historic Places.  After years of work, the  Old Worthington Association  has accomplished this. The Old Worthington Association site says: "This decade-long project seeks to expand on the many places already on the National Register by designating James Kilbourne's original town plat as a Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places. A final decision by the National Park Service is expected in April 2010." I heard from a board member the final decision is in, Old Worthington is a National Historic District. Worthingview is a City of Columbus neighborhood in the  Worthington City School District.   The Worthingview neighborhood is west of the Olentangy River off Wilson Bridge Road inside 270. Most of the homes in the Worthingview neighborhood  were built in the late 1970's into the 1980s.
