Did Worthington's ghost Irwin run a Fine Lines stationary store out of town?   I just noticed the Fine Lines store at 657 High St. in Worthington is gone.  The sign in the window tells you they've moved to Uptown Westerville and joined forces with another similar store.  Recession?  Perhaps it was Irwin.  Do you know the story of the haunting of the stationery store? The story goes the building on High Street just north of the Worthington Inn was built in 1890 as a general store. The Worthington Public Library site says: " At the time the store was in business there was a customer named Irwin who was very unhappy with the seed that he bought for his garden. The September 2010 average home sale prices anyway.  The average sales price for this part of northwest Columbus is up from a year ago.   The September 2010 average single family home sale price is up 3.2% from September 2010 for the Columbus Ohio 43235 zio code in northwest Franklin County. Good news for Columbus home sellers?  Sale prices of homes are down from last month though...  in the Columbus Ohio 43235 zip code. In 1921 Flint Ohio was a little village in Sharon Township that is now mostly annexed into the City of Columbus.  The area south of the Franklin County line is in the Worthington City School District today. Map -  Flint Ohio is near the intersection of Flint Rd. and Park Rd.   The Flint Carryout just west of the railroad tracks is a sure sign you've found Flint.  The train station that sat in Flint was moved further east long ago and is a residential property. A Columbus Dispatch article today says "Worthington Mall to be Sold" The Dispatch article written by Marla Matzer Rose says there is a buyer for the local mall and it is a local person.  The Columbus Dispatch says: "Local developer Tom Carter and Morris Capital Partners of Texas announced a plan yesterday to buy the mall." It sounds like the mall originally built in 1974 is going to be opened up...  it was enclosed at some point. Carter is quoted about the past... Buyers plan changes site hurt by vacancies Worthington Square mall, whose empty storefronts have been a concern to city officials, appears to be headed for a makeover under new ownership. Local developer Tom Carter and Morris Capital Partners of Texas announced a plan yesterday to buy the mall. The seller is GE Equities, the lender that took over ownership in 2008 when the previous owner, Stanford University Endowment, defaulted on the loan. The property includes the 138,000 square-foot mall, a 19,000 square-foot office building and two smaller buildings. The sale is expected to be completed this year.
