Multi level homes experienced a sizable increase in 2013 over 2012 and the odds of selling one of these homes improved by 11% (see 1st row / blue column).  The biggest improvement beyond the increased in annual home sales is the more closely balance between available inventory and how fast the market absorbs those homes.  The Mount Vernon, Ohio housing market for multi level homes improved from a 9.4 month supply of available inventory down to only 6.6 months of available inventory.  This reduction in available inventory helps improve the odds of these types of home faster and if this trend continues could help lead to a healthier Mount Vernon, Ohio housing market. New Years Day is just a few days away so I thought I would take a closer look at the home sales numbers for ranch homes in Mount Vernon, Ohio.  In 2012, there were 76 ranch homes in the city of Mount Vernon that SOLD and in 2013 there has already been 108 ranch homes sell!!!  Not only did the number of ranch home sales increase in 2013 over 2012 but the monthly average increased from 6.3 to 9 ranch home sales per month.  The monthly supply or available inventory of available ranch homes also reduced from 7.7 months in 2012 to only 5.2 months which is much closer to a more balanced housing market.
