    I am always excited about reporting good news in the  Avon, Ohio area.  Even if it is slightly old news. But I just wanted to share if you have shopped in Avon for groceries at Marcs? Well if you haven’t been there, you are missing out on a great opportunity.  This store opened a few months ago on Detroit road just across from the Avon Commons shopping area and I have to tell you I am impressed.  This Marcs is well stocked with groceries to the level that it can compete easily with other local groceries in the area as far as product and brand choices are concerned in the major/common food needs.  No it is not tight isles and overstocked spaces.  There is ample room for moving carts even during it’s busiest days (which appears to be everyday).  The wait in lines is pretty s hort and ... 01/28/2011

Home sales in Avon, Ohio have shown an increase over the last 30 days.  Current data supplied by the multiple listing services has indicated that sales over last month have increased 8.3%.  While the number of homes in pending status have shown an increase of 200%, yes that is 200%.    While this increase in pending sales could be argued, "Well Stan that is just a difference of 15 homes from 5 homes". The point is this. There is a trend a brewing here with people making offers now on homes (and it is in the middle of winter) And this trend has not hit Spring yet. Look at the jump from November to December this year compared to the jump last year. There is a big spike this year. As a coach and parent I have been notorious for taking the "go get them" approach to sports at times.  It can be hard especially when you coach them and you feel parents look at the coach as if "what are doing with my kid out there".  But I really feel I learned some thing this past season of coaching soccer. And that is parents love to see you be there for the kids for learning the fun of the sport, learning to team play, build friendships and lastly, pointed out to that child on the field or after the game for what they did on a positive level.   The National Weather Service in Cleveland is calling for highs in the lower 90s throughout the week. And while the hot and dry weather may cause some to crank their air conditioning units, the heat is pretty bearable compared to temperatures lingering over mid-Atlantic states. But I would have to say it sure has been hard to work.  Getting in and out of your car.  Going to homes without AC or let alone a window open can be very unbearable.  So my question to you is, " How have you been doing in this temperature?  What methods have you taken to keep the heat down? By Friday a cold front is expected to sweep through the region. Three Lorain County cities bordering Cuyahoga County -- North Ridgeville, Avon Lake and Avon -- are the fastest growing cities in Greater Cleveland.The Census Bureau recently released updated population estimates for each city in the country.From 2000 through 2009, North Ridgeville grew by 6,342 residents. People have asked me about plans for the Nagel road exit in Avon and Avon Lake.
