Happy new year! Christmas is over, holiday decorations are packed away for another year, and your home looks blah and bland! Now what? Winter is a great time, especially since you're indside, to get the decorating juices flowing. Here are a few suggestions for getting started: 1. Pick a room. Decorating can be overwhelming if you look at your entire house at one time. You really need to break the house down into smaller projects. So, pick one room or area and it's a good idea to start with the room that's bugging you most. 2. De-clutter the space. Things like, magazines, newspapers, junk mail, kids toys, or any unnecessary items that need to be put in their own places. In 1916, Harvey Firestone embarked on creating a neighborhood with tree-lined boulevards curved around a central park to accommodate his growing work force. He saw many families of different income levels living together in diverse styles of homes (See pictures). He saw churches, schools and stores within walking distance. Harvey Firestone donated the land if a school, church, bank, library or any other structure would benefit the neighborhood.    Harvey Firestone hired his estate landscape architect, Alling S. DeForest, to design the layout for Firestone Park. Akron officials have pushed the limits of the area beyond its original borders. Forgive me for going off track a minute. I was just emailed this movie and I really had to watch it 5 times. I get chills when I see this and hear this. I have 4 seats at the Horseshoe and I am a Buckeye since about 1967. I love Woody and all the tradition. If this does not "get you'', no problem, you are not a Buckeye and that is cool! I respect your team also, that is why I love college football. I watch all the games (after The Ohio State game is over!). We all carry this feeling from youth for our favorite team. It takes us back and makes us young again. Anybody that attends college games regularly can tell you how exciting it is.
