Woodstock New York When you think of Woodstock  New York the Woodstock Festival of 1969 comes to mind, even if you weren't around then. The Festival actually occured some distance away in Bethel Woods after a change in venue; however the marketing material advertising Woodstock as the location had already been distributed. Funny Woodstock signs which made me smile Funny Woodstock signs found in a town famous for a concert that never really took place there.  I must say the community does have a sense of humor by just observing some of the signs in town. Woodstock Commons an intergenerational Campus Back on May 3rd I attended the ribbon cutting for the Woodstock Commons, a new kind of affordable housing located in Woodstock NY. This was a project that took ten years since not everyone was in favor of it. The Woodstock Common is an integeneration campus with 53 units housing working families, seniors and artists. How affordable is the Woodstock Commons? In the Ulster County the fair market value for a 2 bedroom rental is $1200.
