Here at GPS, we are often asked if there is anything reasonable to rent in Piermont, NY. I typically point the prospective tenants to the window of the village's community market window where there is usually an array of rental accommodations available. Today, I was in the village taking a stroll to the Farmer's Market, and snapped the current offerings for those that may me interested. If none of these are what you are looking for, feel free to search the entire MLS data base of current listings by clicking the GPS search widget below.   Or call for more details   845 848 2218           Originally posted at: Piermont Rental Properties

I don't know what you like to on a mid-summer's Sunday afternoon, but one of my favorite pastimes is to stroll down the main street of the picturesque village of Piermont, NY. I'm lucky enough to live and work in this wonderful village. My global real estate business is based here, and I am also a partner in a much more local enterprise; Bunbury's coffee shop. Known to many of the cyclists who visit us from nearby Manhattan as they complete what has become known as "The Muffin Run", and to locals for our fresh baked muffins, scones, biscotti, home-made soups, sandwiches and wraps, but more for our wonderful coffee ( we have our special blends roasted locally and the ambiance which is to be found in the tiny 18 seat cafe. My husband Tim, runs the tiny shop, together with a wonderful crew...

Finally the Fema emergency response team has arrived in Rockland. Having been declared a disaster area last friday (Nov.2,2012) the response team will begin operations in hard hit Piermont and Stony Point. There is still a lot of mis-information as to where exactly their assistance center will actually be set up. Rockland officials differ, some saying that the center will be set up at the Provident Bank Park, the home stadium of the Rockland Boulders, others, including the Piermont Mayor Chris Sanders tells us that they will be at the Fireman's Training Center in Pomona. According to Newsday, County Executive Scott Vanderhoff Either way, we are thrilled that they are finally here and I will keep you updated as to the exact location, and will one of the first inline for assistance as my ...

Wednesday, October 17, 2012 by Vanessa Saunders The Dennis P. McHugh Library in Piermont will feature an art exhibit of local artists' images of the Piermont Marsh. Margaret Grace, a local artist, has curated the show which will feature the works of herself, Grace Mitchell, Robert Adzema, Frances Wells, Catherine Minnery, Laurie Peek and Sally Savage. The Piermont Marsh covers over a thousand acres, making its way to the Hudson River via Sparkill Creek and draining 11 square miles of area watershed. Its tidal shallows, intertidal flats and vast expanse of reed fields provide an extensive habitat for marsh-dwelling wildlife. Its natural beauty also makes it an ideal venue for artists to paint and photograph. The artworks will be on display at the Dennis P. McHugh Library in Piermont t...

With all the continuing news about the bad housing market in America, there is a bright spot on the Hudson. Here at GPS real estate we actually have a waiting list for moderately priced single family homes in Piermont, Rockland County, NY.   There are only 17 single family homes currently for sale in Piermont. Seven are priced at or over $1 million. There are only two for sale between $450,000 and $700,000, the most popular price bracket.   Piermont has long been a desirable place to live. Ever heard of the village of Piermont? If not you should check it out sometime. It's a charming village just south of the Tappan Zee bridge about 15 minutes north of the George Washington Bridge, nestled at the bottom of the Palisades alongside the mighty Hudson river. There's lots to do here, plenty of restaurants including Peter Kelly's Restaurant X, a charming Italian bistro, Portofino and many more to choose from. The famous hang out of Lance Armstrong, Bill Murray, Al Pacino and many more is cosy coffee shop Bunburys, whose homebaked muffins have become legendary to cyclists on the east coast that now call the 9W challenging ride from Manhattan the Muffin Run! Walk through Tallman State Park along the cliffs of the Palisades or the mile long pier that stretches out into the middle ...
