If you know much about me, you will be sure that winter, snow, cold and gray days are my least favorite part of living in the Hudson Valley. As I get older I seem to be less enthused about winter. New Construction Homes are selling in Orange County NY I need land for my builders to start their next project. Seems that we build them and before they are finished the homes disappear. Land for building in the Town of Newburgh and the surrounding area is hard to find. More than three lots on one parcel becomes a subdivision and the process takes way too long. Finding individual lots or a pre approved subdivision is the goal. When times were sweet many land owners were pursuing permits to subdivide larger parcels. SPRING IS ON THE WAY!! At least there is hope! Huge chunks of ice are still floating around on the Hudson River. As you can see the mountains still have snow and we are only five days away from the first day of spring. Sunshine this week has helped as you can now see blue water. Last week this was all white with ice floating from one side to the other. A ridiculously long winter this year is almost over. I am super excited to see the snow disappearing and a robin or two flying around. We are all very excited for nice weather. After the snow melts the springtime cleaning begins. All the lawns are brown right now and will quickly awaken with a few sunny warm days. The grass begins to get green and it is time to get rid of anything that looks grungy. The Countdown to Spring 2014 and Snow is on the way.... Again No, spring is not in the air! Not yet. Seems mother nature thinks this is funny or that we deserve all the cold air and snow this year. The east coast has been hit with record snow this year and I am so done with it. Spring 2012 and the trees by waterfront was in full bloom early that year.       There is hope on the horizon. 19 days and counting! I love when these flowers bloom every spring.
