Birchwood at Spring Lake in Middle Island is a gated golf community 25 years young with 732 units.  There are a mix of architectures from multi-unit condo buildings to townhouses to free standing houses.  One of the strengths of this development is that there is layout for every buyer.  The real estate market in Birchwood was affected by the financial meltdown just like the rest of Long Island. In the bad days of 2010 - 2011 there were only 12 total sales a year in the whole development of 732 homes.
