Today’s “Almost Wordless Wednesday” is dedicated to fellow Active Rainer Joshua Zargari. He always posts a picture in the morning Titled “Good Morning DATE” and I love to see his pictures and then he does many architecturally interesting photos of his travels around the world. I also enjoy those as well. He has not posted since Oct 29, 2012 when Sandy ravaged his area of Long Island. So I hoping he is well and his loved ones are okay. I am sure with all the mess he has critical things to be done so here is to Josh and hopefully we will see him soon. So here are my “Architecturally Interesting” photos for Josh!

Though it has been there for 5 years, and I must have passed it by thousands of times, I just recently stopped in at Zaraz Boutique on Broadway in Lynbrook. Owner Rebecca Greif has a fabulous store with an eclectic variety of jewelry, accessories and gifts, including watches, evening bags and handmade cards. The sterling silver jewelry pieces that she always has in stock are among the store's best-selling items. She also carries a number of lines of name brand hand bags. Rebecca also does jewelry repairs on site for any pieces purchased from the store, she is also an experiences seamstress who does tailoring. Zaraz has a great atmosphere and a large variety of items that encourages browsing. Rebecca makes it a stress free, non pressure pleasant and relaxing shopping experience. But eno...

I probably shouldn't be sharing this because this wonderful Japanese restaurant in Lynbrook NY only seats about 30 people, but in the spirit of the holidays I will.  I LOVE sushi. This little restaurant under the LIRR in Lynbrook, NY has the best sushi I have ever had. makes ever other sushi place I have eaten in just OK. I am sure the rest of their food is also delicious, I mean whatever they are cooking smells delicious, but I go there strictly for their sushi and sashimi. If you go, you have to have the Tuna Carapccio appetizer. Thin slices of tuna, with a little wasabi infused oil and a hint of shaved parmesan is melt in your mouth delicious. My family knows better than to think I share that particular dish. I do not like wasabi - but in this dish it is heavenly. My favorite roll is...

So picture this - It's mid afternoon on July 4th. At friends BBQ Pool party. Sun is shining, pool is cool, company is great, ribs on the grill, kids horseplaying in the yard. OOPS in the blnk if an eye horseplay turns into injury. My son is grabbing his wrist and is obviously in pain. Is there an Orthopedist in the house? Of course not. But we did have a GP and an EMT who both said it could be sprained - or broken LOL. The thought of an Emergency Room on July 4th was extremely unappealing. Figured it would mean hours of sitting around and waiting with my son in pain. Then my friend mentioned Priority Pediatrics. They are an after hour Urgent Care Facility. She had taken her son there for a possible fracture and had only good things to say about them. So we took my son there and were ple...
