If it's winter it's time for the rink at Grant Park to be open... Happy Skating!(Boy does this bring back childhood memories for me.) Grant Park Rink Information Group skating lessons are broken up into three age groups. The youngest group, for 3- to 5-years-olds, is called the "Tiny Tot's Class." "Children Beginners" range from ages four to seven and the more advanced group sessions go all the way up to kids as old as 14. Hadn't been to Trader Joe's on Braodway in Hewlett for a few weeks until I went in yesterday. Boy was I surprised by the makeover. They took over the space formerly occupied by Archies Cafe increasing the size of the store by about 1/3. They have rearranged the aisles, which took a little getting used to. B\ This expansion enables them to add even more great merchandise. It is still the great courteous shopping experience that it has always been, Great selection, low prices and helpful workers. Alfies II of Hewlett just opened at the site of the old Broadway Pizza at 1243 Broadway in Hewlett. The new owner redid the entire place with wonderful tile floors, wonderful organic  rustic tile walls and 2 flat screen TVs on the walls. Since I didn't get home until late from showing homes tonight we thought we would give it a try - and all I can say is YUM! We walked in and the smells were great - garlic, tomato, fresh dough - it was all so inviting. The owner is Luigi, a second generation Pizzeria owner.
