Circleville is a little gem of a village in the Town of Wallkill in Orange County NY.  It was first settled in the 1790's by one lone settler.  A famous early resident was Samuel Bull, a blacksmith who is said to have help forge the chain that was used to blockade the Hudson River during the Revolutionary War. The name of the village was proposed by Mrs. Mary Bull who liked the name of the town Circleville in Ohio she had heard of.  The local post office was established in 1850.   Circleville is located just of Route 17 (future I-86) at exit 119.  It is about 65 miles to New York City.  The village center has a post office and several shops including a deli, resturant, bank, pizza place/bar, and a paint your own ceramic shop.
