There's a new place in town! Nonni's Italian Eatery-"Food Just Like Momma Used To Make"- recently opened in the Holiday Inn, Main Street Concord New Hampshire! My son took us out to a "belated" Mother's Day dinner. I got to choose, so I wanted to try Nonni's...Italian food is at the top of my preferred list! It was a Sunday evening so it was not very crowded...which was fine with me because I wanted to take a few pictures but didn't want to disturb people. We were seated by our waitress Katelyn who asked if we had been there before and when we said no she told us a bit about the menu.  I did ask if it would be OK if I took some pictures for my Active Rain Blog and the Manager, Jennifer, was very gracious and said yes. Our Chefs were Mikey and Robin The menu is very varied with somethin...

Concord New Hampshire A Main Street Community         There was a fun story on the front page of todays Concord Monitor. A story pointing out one of the most charming aspects of Concord, NH, the fact that Concord has not totally rid itself of its agricultural roots!   It's the smell of Mother Nature's fertilizer....it's the smell of "Poop".   From one side of Concord to the other even to the streets downtown, the smell of manure permeates the air.   To quote City Planner Doug Woodward "It reminds us that there's still agriculture in Concord...New Hampshire has not been completely paved over"  There are still two major Dairy Farms in the Concord area, The Bartlett Farm and the Morrill Farm Dairy. They own a good portion of the land surrounding the city, and at this time every year th...

Dear Concord, New Hampshire Seller,    Educating Sellers on Agency, Explaining what they can expect from me  and working on and within that Relationship....is a major part of my job. It is one of the most challenging parts.  Sadly (for us Realtors) in many cases we (myself included) neglect to educate our Sellers on their part in Agency in regards to us. In other words...what we expect from them. The list isn't long but in my opinion...it can make or break a good working  relationship.  How To Be The Perfect Seller Remember..you have hired me to Market and sell your home! My opinion as to Value and Selling Price are based on my knowledge of the Market and your competition....please value and accept that opinion. You need to act on any "staging' suggestions I may have such as personal c...

So ....how's the Condo market? In New Hampshire it's still good. There is a lot of Inventory and every style to chose from. When listening to or reading about The Real Estate Market, you need to remember that Trends are Regional and RE Trends are VERY Regional.  Concord Statistics 12/01/07-2/15/08   Units on Market          Average List price           DOM         Average Selling Price        92                           $201,732                     164                   $167,698 Roughly half of the active listings are valued at under $150,000. The remainder fall under more up-scale developments that are more expensive. This accounts for the skewed numbers!      In the...

The New Hampshire Sustainable Lodging and Restaurant Program is part of the New Hampshire Lodging and Restaurant Association.  They are dedicated to teaching restaurant and lodging owners to be more aware of the environmental impact their businesses have and the need to be more energy efficient. To date the most success has been with the Lodging Operations. They have been able to accommodate by replacing light bulbs, incorporating local food into their menus and reducing their everyday and hazardous waste. The program was expanded to Restaurants over a year ago but has met with more resistance....until lately that is.....  The Concord Monitor recently had an article about a local restaurant  The Red Blazer.
