We spent the evening of August 13th at Kearney RV Park & Campground just off Interstate 80. We’re up early (as usual) this Friday morning hoping to make it to Branson, Missouri, our final destination. It’s a stretch at about 535 miles and we’re a little less for wear, this 4th day of our cross country trek. We're about 40 miles out of Kearney when our truck suddenly loses power. Fortunately we were able to coast off the freeway at the Wood River exit just outside of Grand Island, Nebraska.Long story short we got rescued off the freeway by Lone Tree Towing and ended up at GI Auto Repair. They took us right in and suggested we wait for the assessment at Farmer’s Daughter Cafe a few blocks away so we could have some breakfast and relax while they took at our truck.
