To start at the beginning:  Creek course at Carolina Trace Sanford, NC   After a short break, you continue to the 10th hole.  This hole is much shorter than the last two and is a par 3.  The drive to the pin is 130 to 217 yards.  The 10th hole is another straight drive to the green.  You can even see the green from the tee.  A stream follows the hole to the right and then crosses the hole just in front of the green.  The fairway slopes gently downward toward the hole. The homes on the right of the hole are part of Sedgemoor and the homes on the left are in Trentwood and Woodemere. Small bunkers flank the green on the left and right.  The real hazard on this hole is undershooting the green and ending up in the stream.  In the photo, you can see the stacked stone wall that lines this stre...

To start at the beginning:  Creek course at Carolina Trace Sanford, NC After the sixth hole, follow the cart path past a few nice homes to the sign for the 7th hole.  The 7th hole is a par 3.  It is a fairly short hole with a drive to the hole of 115 to 198 yards. The fairway drops down a moderate hill from the tee.  Trees line the left and right of the hole.  Homes on the left are part of Sedgemoor while those on the right are part of Trentwood and Woodmere. The green is flanked by sand traps on either side.  The hole drops off steeply behind the green so do not overshoot the hole here. The course meets up again with Carr creek on the 8th hole.  The 8th hole is a long par 5 with 426 to 504 yards to the pin depending on which tee is used. The hole is pretty much a straight shot from the...

To start at the beginning:  Creek course at Carolina Trace Sanford, NC Hole 4 is a par 3, with 103 to 199 yards to the pin depending on which tee shot is chosen. Starting with the 4th hole, the course begins to follow Carr Creek.  The creek is to the left of the hole, so make certain your shot doesn't drift in that direction.  It is a short drive to the small green so be careful to miss the bunkers which are to the left, right, and behind the hole. Homes which overlook the hole from the hill above on the left are part of North Shore.  Homes which follow the right of the hole are in Laurel Thicket. This is the approach to the fourth hole on the Creek course.  Bunkers are to the left, right, and behind the hole.  The green is small so the right shot is key Hole 5 is a longer par 4.  The d...

To start at the beginning:  Creek course at Carolina Trace Sanford, NC Continuing on after the first hole, the second hole of the creek course is a par 4.  Distance to the pin varies from 279 to 387 yards depending on the tee used. The second hole is more or less a straight shot from the tee up a slight incline toward the hole.  Sand Traps are about halfway down the fairway to catch the shot that drifts to the left.  The hole is just out of sight for all but the eagle eyed. The second hole is surrounded on three sides by bunkers to catch any inaccurate shots.  Homes just beyond the hole enjoy a lovely view of the course. After the second hole, follow the cart path to the right to the third hole. After crossing the street and following the cart path, the third hole of the creek course is...
