Hi all, Well I finally found a furniture company that will work with me by providing furniture from their showroom.  Barbara Mann with Remax Realty Consultants called me and asked for my help on a Brownstone that she is listing.  It has been on the market for over a year with no interest.  This economy has been hard on everyone, and we needed to think outside the box to try to save money and help this builder show this home in a better light.  I approached Klaussner Home Furnishings and asked if they would be willing to provide furniture for the living room, dining room and bedroom, in return, when the home sells, the builder will buy a $2500 gift card to their store for the new owner to spend.  They agreed!!!  I went and picked out what I wanted and they delivered it.  They have a grea... 08/06/2009

If you had a chance to read my blog An experiment that will hopefully be a win, win, win for everyone.  We approached a furniture company and asked them if they would help us with furniture and in return, at close the builder would purchase a $5000 gift certificate to that store for the new home owner.  It seemed like a great plan that would be a win, win, win for everyone involved.  The builder had no money to spend since the home has been on the market for 3 years.  Well, here is  an update: My sales guy was onboard all the way.  He thought it was a great idea.  He approached his manager who was also very excited and thought he would give it a try, but had to go through the owners for approval.  One of the owners was thrilled and wanted to know how many houses we were going to do.  I ... 05/03/2009

Tomorrow November 1st will be the Autumn Open House at the Greyhound Friends of North Carolina Oak Ridge, North Carolina kennel.  Please join us for a reunion of greyhound owners and propective owners.  We have something for everyone from a Blessing of the Hounds to a Hound Dash where you can actually have someone with a real radar gun clock your hound and give you a certificate with their speed.  There will be of course hamburgers, veggie burgers, and hot dogs.  No Autumn Open House would be complete without the costume contest.  There will be tours of our new kennel facility and we will have information about Mountain Hounds (our getaway to Gatlinburg with hounds).  There will be many more vendors with collars, coats, pictures, artwork, and much more.
