Sparians Bowling in Raleigh at North Hills.Went to Sparians in Raleighon Saturday night for Kelly's work Christmas Party. I am not a bowler, but I am a drinker and an eater (why do both of those describers have such negative connotations?). Sparians is a grown up bowling alley that serves food and has a full bar. It is very stylish with big chairs and sofas. We had a private room with four lanes, a full bar and bartender and restrooms and the food was set up banquet style. It was a great way to spend a couple of hours and is a really good venue for parties, group outings. Can you believe this is really happening in Raleigh North Carolina. Our city council has make a law to ban all new garbage disposals and existing ones cannot be fixed or replaced or you could face a fine of up to $25,000. The wisdom behind this is to help with the water shortage and keep the sewer system clean. But of courses the City Council has no study or evidence to support this claim. What next? Well the real estate industry and homebuilder are trying to the council on passing higher impact fees and a possible end to tear-downs in certain area.Lets see if we will remain one if not the only City to ban GARBAGE DISPOSALS.  03/19/2008
