Eat More Chicken and Help Raise Money for Morehead City Primary School     Head over to Chick-fil-A on the 2nd Thursday of every month for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner (or all of the above)!  When you place your order, tell the cashier at the register or in the drive-thru that you are there for "Spirit Day" for Morehead City Primary School.  A percentage of each transaction will go directly to the School.  I met my sister there for Breakfast yesterday, and had a great time.  They have an awesome Chicken Biscuit (and you know how I love biscuits) and some of the best sweet tea in the South!  As Todd topped off my tea before we left, I had to snap a pic of him (it was his idea to stand with the cow).  Todd and the rest of the staff are always friendly and very pleased that we are there to s...

All for just $59.00.  As a bonus, we received instruction on how to care for our new Holly Plant too (if you know me and plants, I can use all the instruction I can get)!     If you get a chance to get together with one or more Active Rainers, TAKE It!  I have, and I am a happier person because of it.    Just before departure, this was the sunrise I witnessed from the Milwaukee airport window (hence the streak marks in the glass).  What a glorious way to begin my trip to North Carolina, to meet several Active Rainers.  My heart was touched right from the start of it!  And it only got better with each and every passing moment, and each and every Active Rainer I met!  As the plane approached Raleigh North Carolina, I was overcome with the pure lushness of the area.  Waterways and Green were everywhere.  What an amazing area of the country Raleigh North Carolina truly is.  It brought back wonderful memories of living in Tennessee.  As soon as I got off the ...

Nothing.   It is part of life, but man it stinks....IT's just a bad feeling!   Well, that's what happened to me yesterday morning!  I must have sat in the driver's seat for 10 minutes.  Turning the key every 60 seconds or so hoping for a miracle.  Guess what?  I received that miracle, and was able to get the car started!  Somehow, I knew it was going to be a great day!    As I do anytime I have an issue with my vehicle, I drove straight to McCabe's ...

It's Just Another Day...On the Crystal Coast After a long day of Soccer games, grocery shopping and Laundry...I suggested that we head over to the Morehead City Waterfront for a nice walk along the boardwalk, followed by dinner at the Ruddy Duck Tavern, and then swinging on the docks while waiting for sunset.  It got a little chilly and we didn't quite make it to sunset, but we had a wonderful time.   The Crystal Coast of North Carolina is a fabulous place with so much to see and do.  After a day like today, we know just how very blessed we are to live in our own little slice of paradise....     For more information about the Crystal Coast of North Carolina, Give me a call.  I'd love to share our little slice of Paradise with you!

Not a Louse in this House!   If you have school age children, You may or may not have received that wonderful letter from your school that the Dreaded Lice is going around and please check your child daily for infestation!  Even worse, you may or may not have received the nightmarish phone call from your child's school nurse requesting ordering that you pick your child up from school immediately because he/she has lice!   At Morehead City Primary School, in North Carolina, those scary letters went home a couple of weeks ago, and then again yesterday!  After catching my breath from the slight panic attack, I did a little research on the lovely subject of Lice.  What causes it?  If my child gets lice, does it mean he's dirty?  How does one catch Lice?  How does one get rid of Lice?  Just ...
