 Matthews, NC Housing Market Update: January 2019January home sales in Matthews, North Carolina saw continued, significant home sale prices increases compared with the same month one year ago. Market inventory remained tight despite a slight increase and the months supply of homes at 2 months indicated a continuing seller’s market. Closed sales were down, but pending sales, as well as new listings, were both up.  5 Hot Matthews, NC (28105 Zip Code) Neighborhoods To Watch In 2019 The story behind the hot neighborhoods in Matthews in 2018 is the relatively sharp increases in the average sale prices of homes. With one exception, these neighborhoods did not see very large increases in the number of homes sold in 2018 compared with 2017, but home prices did escalate. Matthews remains a reasonably affordable area for home buyers despite the 2018 price increases with three of these neighborhoods averaging sale prices under $300,000.    BRIGHTMOOR Brightmoor remains a "hot" selling neighborhood in Matthews with 26 home sales in 2018 (up one versus 2017).
