Listing inventory did increase, but new listings coming on the market dropped year-over-year. Days on market increased in August, but were still low at 14 days, on average.  8 Hot Matthews, NC (28105 Zip Code) Neighborhoods To Watch In 2022 Matthews homes sold in 2021 at an average sale price of $428,285 compared with $360,557 in 2020. Due to decreasing inventory in Matthews in 2021, homes sold more quickly... 50% more quickly, on average -- in 12 days compared with 24 days the prior year. Despite considerably less inventory in 2021, 668 homes sold in Matthews, compared with 714 homes sold in 2020. Eight neighborhoods topped the Matthews "sales charts" in 2021 with more than 13 sales each during the year.
