Wow is it just me or do we need to advertise that you can grow a garden along side the mls photos. I am learning to become more green as should all of us . Recently a large portion of my clients are requesting that I research if they may plant a garden and thats not hard here in the mountains of western NC especially in Brevard where outside the city limits we have zero zoning.We have a great place here in town called Poppies it's kinda like a fresh market where you can buy anything along the fresh produce to free range beef line ,I love this place. Gallery walk in Brevard is always a great time to be downtown. The art galleries are open late, the restaurants are busy, and people are milling around in a congenial atmosphere. Friday was this month's Gallery walk but with a new twist. Live music. Not just OK live music...but GREAT live music. It was all a part of the kick off to the Arts and Culture Week June 27- July 4. The concert started with the Marc Yaxley trio which was followed by the Firecracker Jazz Band. Main Street was closed down at the east end where the stage was set up. People of all ages began gathering with their folding chairs and before you knew it, they were dancing in the streets. As was forcasted, the White Squirrel Festival in downtown Brevard was again a smash success this year.  I am proud of Brevard, it is a great place to be and live.  For those of you that did not make the festival, you missed great music and food in a great location.  The music was free and the food was all reasonable priced and plentiful.
