Another Stray Black Lab Rescued By David O' I was heading home on Sunday to watch the Superbowl and had just pulled into my Neighborhood when this big black lab comes running across the road in front of me. I stopped and turned to see him run across a major road, luckily there were no cars. I got out and went across to try and catch him and he was acting like a pup who was too scared to stop. He went behind a fence and I lost him. I got back in the car and was about to continue when he comes bounding across the road again and this time almost got hit twice! Benson Area Chamber hosts Career Day in Benson, NC On October 14th, 2010 the Benson Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a career day for local middle and high school students. The event took place at the American Legion building in Benson, NC and was host to over 300 students from Benson Middle, Meadow and South Johnston High School. There were 28 professional vendors who took part in the half day event. Some of the professional career fields represented were law, medical, emergency medical services, optometry, law enforcement, fire, real estate and others.
