I usually Blog everyday and enjoy reading others Blogs. I have listed and sold real estate since 1983 and each time I go to a workshop like this, I learn something new or remember that something that I used to do...works... Tonight we were talking about the Ringing in of the New Year. We know that Australia and Hong Kong...celebrate the New Year many hours before we do on the East Coast. At Midnight, the Big Ball Drops and Hurrah..Happy New Year in Times Square. Yesterday, my husband picked a bucket of grapes, so this morning I am cooking them to make the juice for the jelly. These are Muscadine Grapes, so the jelly will be a lovely color of purple. Traditionally, we put the grapes in a large square plastic box and let each of the grandchildren stomp them for a bit.  It is the best way to get all  of the juice out of the grapes.  Could not get them all together to do this ..this year but they got stomped anyway. Tonight, we will add sugar and cook and put in to sterilized jars.  What great fun..and the taste is wonderful..   Hope you have a delightful day! Ginger of Southport 09/09/2010
