Every year and this year is no exception, but I get a call or two about having an Ariel photo taken of my home. This is a common thing in the rural areas of our Nation. The price has bee anywhere from $125-over $200.  I even had these people show up trying to sell my the photo all framed.  When I say I am not interested, the price drops by over half. The thing is, I can get a better photo right off Google Earth...and for a lot less money. There are several places where you can order  overhead shots of you home or even print your own if the print quality isn't that big of an issue. The point is...there are a lot of options compared to yesteryear.  Check around and you may be surprised. 06/15/2012

It is time for a bit of humor.  It has again been a long week and weekend, but things are looking up...tomorrow is Monday! A man tells the clerk..."Well, it is for my mother -in-law." as tells his Doberman DOWN! and tightens the leash. "I have to watch him close, he actually killed my Mother-in-law." "I am sorry to hear that," says the clerk.  "But, is there any way I could borrow you dog for a day?" the clerk asks. "The man motions over his shoulder and says..."Get in line!" I know that it's terrible, but we must laugh at ourselves once in a while. 08/21/2011

Ya...It is a balmy 23 with just a small 10 mile wind.  Can't sit inside all day, so it's outside with the granddaughter to do some sliding.  The great thing about the warmth we have, is we don't need our heavy clothes on.  It makes it so much easier  to move around.  The long sleeve shirts in this weather are so cumbersome! Then of course, when you are having fun, someone has to bring out the camera....  This is one of the more trecherous hills we have to slide on! 01/21/2009

We all measure success by different means.  Some is monetary, others look at reputation, and still others have a completely different view on success. Are you paving your way leaving a smooth trail that follows behind you? or... Are you steam rolling over everything in you path to get to the top, without future consequences in mind.  Are you burning the bridges that you may have re-cross at a later date.  Success at any cost...is that really the way to build a business? 07/22/2008
