 The 4th of July is coming fast and there will be a lot of travelers.Even with the 4th being in the middle of the week.The nice thing you can take 2 days off and 5 off in a row.Road construction will be a major issue for t hose going North on I 35 towards the north shore and Duluth.The bridge over the river in Pine City is being replaced.Delays are in hours.Find another route and you will save a lot of time.Vacation should not start in the middle of a freeway parking lot.             06/16/2018

The totally  unrealistic interest rates for home loans is going up.The Fed has been watching and warning that the  rates will be going in up.This week I had a client ask if rates were coming down anytime soon.Rates ave been at historic lows for several years now.Setting on the fence now will only give you splinters.There is no phrase worse than..."I wish I had ..."   06/14/2018

Rural living for me is the only living.But there is a lot to do...I mow over an acre of grass. For most in town people that would be cuttingthe lawn for 5-6 houses at least. There are driveways to take care of.Weeds to kill.Some tree cutting and or trimming may be in order.Many people have some kind of a wood stove for supplemental heat so cutting firewood and thenhauling it and then splitting it and then into the home...are you tired yet? There ae gardens and animals to take care of.There are out buildings to maintain so they look nice.If you have any kind of acreage, you may have some additional work. This is all on top of your normal job.Yes, I love the rural life...anyone ave the ambition to join me...then call me!  Just one load of over 30 I cut each year. 06/09/2018

I love the rural living...in case you didn't know.You never know what may come into view.The other day, these two swallowtail butterfly's were fluttering around my yard.After 15 minutes I gave up trying to catch them both siting still.I had to take them on the fly.  06/09/2018

Living in the country, we get all kinds of visitors.Some are very welcome and others are not so much.some can fit right in and others will destroy what ever they can. Tonight it was the former WE have 4-5 of thiese bunnnies running in our yard.They leave the wife's flowers alone and they have stayed out of the garden.They are welcome visitors for us   06/09/2018

I love to see the grand kids.It is only 3-4 times a year so when they show up it is special.Of course, Grandma, always makes the visit special for them.My wife is the typical...spoil them and then send them home...kind of grandma.I heard a great saying that makes a lot of sense... Children are often spoiled because no one will spank grandma! Oh how true this is!  2 of our super hero's   06/03/2018

Carpenter ants do not build anything, they eat it down.On a recent listing appointment I noticed ants, large ants around an outdoor shed.I told the home owner that he had a major issue.He disagreed.  I bet him that if he took off one panel and there was no issue, I would give him $100 to fix the place he tore the board off.   If I am right, he would give ME the listing.    I think I may have won the bet!   06/02/2018

This photo is from 2 years ago.Momma loon is sitting on eggs.II went in search for her this past weekend and found her again.I was within 40 feet or so and moved very very slowly.She sat and just watched me.I took a few photo's but she had hidden herself more than the last time I saw her.I did this while fishing.My wife said I would catch more fish if I left the camera  home.True, but I would miss out on  a lot of nature!  06/02/2018
