One of the highest needs for the food shelves is right after a major Holiday.  And the short time between Thanksgiving and Christmas is even a harder time. It is a short time to re-stock the shelves and between bad weather and the extra expenses for our own Holidays, we sometimes don't give like we usually do. Well, for some reason some of the ladies don't quite agree with us, guys! So, I will try one more time.   Why pay for high club fees?  This is fun for the entire family. These chairs are sturdy and safe. You can only stand a a Segway for so long. The door knob will never slip out of your hand again. I have seen these and Had a plan to do one also, but... In today's world of get it for as little as possible, isn't always the way to go. I compare the junk at Walmart and what my local Hardware store has...(A mom and pop shop). Yes I pay a bit more but I get GOOD stuff. Same goes for repairs. I have a list of contractors... Most are mid priced to the lower end. I don't have any that claim to be the cheapest because I don't want my clients to complain about shoddy work. Cambridge and Isanti, MN were among the hardest hit Minnesota areas for foreclosures when the Real Estate bubble burst.  Now the market is headed back up and prices are recovering a little.  There still are foreclosures happening in the area, but that has slowed down considerably. The main thing I am seeing when it comes to first time home buyer type of homes that there is very very few options out there.  Thus, for sellers who have homes they could list and sell in the $150,000 price range and under; now is a great time to put your home for sale.  I think buyers are willing to pay $5000 to $10,000 higher then the home might really want to, but almost have to to get a home now. Here is a tip for all of you who have the blood sucking bugs. Cutter Backyard bug control. I have a client that used it and I was back 2 days later and not a single mosquito. This stuff should last a few weeks.  It hooks onto your garden hose and you water your grass. I am going to the store to get some tonight so I can enjoy being outside more. 06/21/2013

For those who use worms to fish with, especially night crawlers, here is an easy trick. Worms you need to dig and you may not have a place to do so.  Buying worms and night crawlers can be spendy. So this is what I do...it is sorta the lazy man's way but it works. When it rains, I go to a small parking lot or on the road in fromt of my home when the traffic is low and I take an ice cream bucket and a dust pan.  The worms will be crawling on the road.  Very hard to pick up with your fingers.  So, use the dust pan to just bump the worm lightly and it will curl up.  Then with a quick sweeping motion with the dust pan you can pick the worm up with very little effort and no injury to the worm. NO Contingent offers! As any agent that is selling a foreclosure or a short sale and all will tell you that the lender will NOT take a contingent offer. We tell our clients this.  We explain that looking at a bank owned property is not helping them when they can't buy one anyway. I got this again today.  My clients have to sell their home before they can buy the next one.   It is really simple...if your offer is contingent on you selling your home...in other words you have to sell the current home or you can't afford to buy the new house...looking at a home that will not take a contingent offer is wasting everyine's time.   05/01/2013
