Wow...what a good time.  This is the second time I have seen him in concert and othe than being a bit loud, (which should not be a problem for an old fart like me) He was on top of his game last night.  It was an indoor event, all the seats were good and he brought the house down!  The one thing that Trace does, is, He sings!  Sounds funny I know, that's what he is supposed to do, but, many of the concerts I have bee to  the artist talks as much as he sings. BUTTERCUPS AND GOLF BALLS! Nearing the end of a round of golf, Dave hit his ball into a patch of Buttercups.  Trying to get the ball out, back into play, caused Dave to destroy almost the entire patch of flowers.  All of a sudden...POOF! In a flash and a puff of smoke a little old lady appeared.   In an irate voice said..."I am Mother Nature!!  do you have any idea how long it took me to make those pretty Buttercups?  Because of your insensitivity, you will never be able to have butter on you popcorn: better yet, you will never have butter on your toast!:"  still in an angry voice, "As a matter of fact, you will never have butter on ANYTHING ever again in your life!"  Then  POOF...she was gone.         April 25th, Friday, from 7-10 P.M. at the Aitkin, Minnesota V.F.W. will be a night of classic rock music.  This is a free event sponsored by the Kinship of Aitkin County youth leaders.    These young people are taking a stand against drugs and are bringing community awareness to the dangerous effects of drugs and alcohol.    The feature band for this community event will be Halvorson McNabb, a local band from the Crosby area.  Root beer and snacks will be served.    Please show your support for these youth leaders and their program; encourage attendance at this event.                                                                                                       photo by Dan Zen  04/19/2008

     Has anyone seen the ads for the bronze appliances?  I  know Jenn-Air  ( click for  photos) has them out already.  They look like an up-graded version of the old Copper-tone without the shade variations that went  darker to the edges.   I'm sure that they are really very good looking up close.     My parents had a Copper-tone kitchen and laundry room.  My Mother thought it was very chic.  Each manufacturer had a slight variation on the color, however and my parents appliances were all different brands.     My sister had the Avocado appliances and then in her next home, went to Red appliances.  I really liked those and never saw them anywhere else.      We have a house trailer that we lived in after our tornado, while our house was being rebuilt.  It has perfectly functioning Harvest... 09/23/2007
