When my stepfather decided to move my mother back to Michigan, it was time for us to locate a nursing home close to everyone and one that provided the best care for her. Ferguson Convalescent Home was not our first choice. But now that she is a resident there, we are both extremely happy with the decision. This is the story of Anna Lee Ferguson... Harold and Anna Lee Ferguson purchased the original nursing home and took over operations on 03/01/1953. The building had a capacity of 28 beds with 17 residents. The family included daughter Phebe, and Anna Lee's father became the 18th resident, and her mother resided in a room on the 2nd floor.
